UK's Towry Hires Wealth Manager In Bournemouth

The UK wealth manager, which is in the midst of a takeover, has added to its team on the southern coast of England.

Towry has hired Amanda Cook as a financial planner and wealth manager within its Bournemouth office.

Previously, Cook was a senior financial advisor and later life advisor at Money Wise IFA. For six years, she has advised clients who are planning for or are in their later life. Cook also worked at Baker Davies as an independent financial advisor.

“She is a highly accomplished financial planner who is clearly passionate about her role and the benefits of specialist advice,” said Rob Chandler, regional head at Towry.

Towry, which is in the process of being acquired by UK wealth management rival Tilney Bestinvest, reported earlier this week that its assets under management surged 42 per cent in 2015 from a year earlier to stand at £9.1 billion ($12.92 billion).
