Appway Opens Doors In London

The Switzerland-based firm that specialises in areas such as client onboarding has expanded its footprint to the UK.

Zurich-headquartered technology firm Appway has opened an office in London.

The firm said the expansion comes as financial services institutions are placing greater importance on digital banking to boost their revenue through enhanced client experiences and operational efficiency.

Appway already has offices in Zurich, Ticino, Geneva, Toronto, New York, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

“Our new London office will help us better service our global clients operating in the UK with a 24/7 local market presence,” said René Hürlimann, head of sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“A permanent office in the heart of Europe’s banking industry will also enable us to adapt more quickly to market-specific regulations with our local team of experts.”

Nigel Sirett has been appointed as account executive to work with clients in London and elsewhere in the region. He was previously managing director at Fintech Sales Advisors, a consultancy specialising in digital technology within financial services.

Appway, which serves over 165 service institutions and 420,000 individuals worldwide, last month added the Appway Native Workspace to its platform for users of mobile technology. The additional service allows organisations to carry out mobile strategies to connect with customers, employees, and partners.
