Union Bancaire Privée Names New CEO Of US-Focused Investment Subsidiary

The Swiss bank has appointed a CEO of a subsidiary that focuses on US clients.

Geneva-headquartered Union Bancaire Privée has appointed Frédéric Carbonnier as the new chief executive of UBP Investment Advisors, an independent subsidiary that was created by its parent in 2014. He takes over from Andreas Kurath.

UBP IAS is a Swiss company registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission; it specialises in managing investment portfolios for US residents and citizens.

Carbonnier has worked in the banking sector for almost 30 years, working in particular with US clients, of which more than 12 in wealth management in North America.
