UBS Wealth Management Makes Alternative Investments Hire

The wealth management business of Switzerland's UBS has added to its investment products and services team.

UBS Wealth Management has hired Jonathan Nash as alternative investments distribution specialist for the UK and Jersey.

Nash joins from Renaissance Asset Management, where he was sales director for the UK and Nordics. He brings 23 years of industry experience. In the newly-created role, Nash will develop alternative investments sales and after sales activities, while helping to further the firm's reach in the UK and Jersey.

He will report to the firm's head of investment products and services for UK and Jersey, Paddy Lewis.

“He [Nash] brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the alternative investments space and will significantly strengthen our ability to grow this side of our business and improve the products and solutions we are able to offer clients in the UK and Jersey,” said Lewis.

This week, UBS Wealth Management posted a pre-tax operating profit of SFr2.689 billion (around $2.64 billion) for 2015, compared to SFr2.326 billion a year earlier.
