Neuberger Berman Hires From HSBC In UK Push

The New York-headquartered investment management firm has made an addition to its UK client group.

Neuberger Berman has appointed Jonathan Geoghegan from HSBC to its UK financial institutions and intermediaries client group.

Berman joins from HSBC Global Asset Management where he was senior relationship manager for six years. He previously he held similar roles at Architas Multi Managers, Invesco Perpetual and Schroders. 

In his new role, Berman will be responsible for building relationships across UK and global private banks, asset managers, family offices, wealth managers and multi managers. Based in London, he will report to Tom Douie, Neuberger Berman's head of intermediary for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“In response to increasing client appetite in the UK, we are growing our local team to ensure that we continue to provide each client with a high level of service and a bespoke relationship. We are very pleased that Jonathan is joining us as he brings a wealth of industry knowledge and deep client insight that will be instrumental in our continued success,” said Douie.

Earlier this month, the firm appointed Javier Nunez de Villavicencio to lead its client relationship management and business development activities in Spain and Portugal.
