New Emerging Markets Hedge Fund Targets HNWs

The London-based emerging markets hedge fund specialist, Fincere said it has launched a new portfolio targeting continued strong growth in emerging markets.

The Fincere Emerging Markets Portfolio Fund will launch with seed capital of $20 million and is expected to initially close its doors when it has reached $250 million. The fund is targeting annual returns of between 15 and 20 per cent after fees, with a target volatility of no more than 20 per cent. Aimed at high net worth individuals, the minimum investment in the fund will be $100,000.

The fund's remit is to invest in fixed income, commodities and derivatives in all emerging markets.

The managers of the fund are Manuel Dopazo and Natalia Navarro. Prior to founding Fincere, Mr Dopazo worked on the emerging markets desks of a number of New York investment banks and also held the position of head of the debt management office of a major emerging markets sovereign issuer.

Ms Navarro has experience in Latin American financial markets and worked as director of its public debt administration of a major emerging markets sovereign issuer.

The fund services division of LaSalle Global Trust Services, based in Dublin, has been named as administrator to the fund.

It is expected that the fund will be rolled out to European and US institutional investors within 12 months of launch date.
