STEP, European Philanthropy Group Launch Education Programme For Advisors
The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the European Association for Philanthropy and Giving have joined forces to produce an educational series for advisors over charity issues.
The new series entitled ‘The Philanthropy Programme’ is supported by a programme advisory committee chaired by Lord Janvrin, non-executive director of HSBC Private Bank.
The education series comprises five stimulating and thought provoking events, starting on 21 February, the organisations said in a statement yesterday. The first event carries the title, “Philanthropy Advice: is the current business model right for your clients?”. It will be held in central London.

Late last year, STEP set up a private banking and wealth management group as part of a campaign to raise awareness of this sector’s importance to UK policymakers at a time of rising regulatory and tax pressures.
