Wealth Management Headhunter Hires Banker From EFG

Gibson Tullberg, the wealth management headhunter, has bolstered its practice with the hire of Ross Hosmann from EFG International Private Bank in Geneva, who is tasked with further developing the firm’s Swiss business.
This is the first ex-banker Gibson Tullberg has hired, and in his new role Hosmann will take on mandates in Geneva and Hong Kong, as well as being responsible for building the Swiss business.
“There are too many small web-based recruiters who operate illegally, are unlicensed in the markets they attempt to cover, have little industry or career management experience and in effect simply churn CVs with little thought to the mid- or long-term impact on individual careers. The sea change in Swiss and onshore markets is driving specific demand just as much as the broad growth in Asia and we see a need for more experienced and able coverage in relation to this,” said co-partner Matilda Gibson-Tullberg.
In other recent news, in September the headhunter opened up an office in Singapore to serve the Far East markets, relocating Jessica Torres Schernthaner to run the new operation along with Gibson-Tullberg. The launch of the Singapore office came after the firm’s formal relocation of its headquarters from London to Geneva in 2009, although it still retains an office in London.
