Asset Management Giant Expands European Fund Range

US-based Neuberger Berman has unveiled a new global bond fund for European investors, a sub-fund of its Irish-domiciled UCITS fund umbrella.

The fund was launched with $68 million in assets under management and was seeded by an external investor.

It is managed by a group of senior portfolio managers at Neuberger Berman: Andrew Johnson, Ugo Lancioni, Dave Brown and Thanos Bardas. The four employees have been at the firm for 52 years in total.

The firm said that the portfolio management team will be supported by the wider investment team, which comprises 110 fixed income professionals.

Neuberger Berman oversaw a total of $199 billion in client funds at the end of March this year, and has European offices in Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK.
