European fintech Axyon
AI has appointed industry expert Gary Chropuvka to join its
advisory committee.
The Italy-based business which, as its name suggests,
concentrates on artificial intelligence, said Chropuvka, who is
based in the US, has more than 20 years’ experience in
quantitative investing.
Chropuvka has served in executive roles including co-head of
quantitative investment strategies at Goldman Sachs Asset
Management and president of WorldQuant. Earlier this year,
Axyon AI appointed Massimo Tosato and Andrea Gentilini to join
its committee.
Titanbay
Titanbay, the private
markets investment platform for private banks, wealth managers
and family offices, has appointed Ossama Soliman as chief
operating officer. Soliman is responsible for technology,
product, data and analytics.
Soliman has worked in technology and financial services for
almost 20 years – for American Express and Amazon for
example. Most recently, Soliman was the chief product officer in
two fintech unicorn startups in London, TrueLayer and Zilch.

Burgess Mee
Family Law has appointed Charlotte Ballard Scott as a
consultant.
Prior to this, Ballard Scott was a partner in the family
department at Kingsley Napley until 2007, focusing on both
financial and children work.
Lowry Legal
High net worth divorce law firm specialist Lowry Legal has
appointed mediator and family lawyer Michelle Uppal, who is
joining as a partner.
The firm, based in Manchester, said it will also be
creating a dedicated London office.
Uppal’s appointment is Lowry Legal’s second partner hire of 2023.
Uppal brings almost 25 years’ experience assisting separating HNW
couples with expertise in child arrangements, post-separation
finances, and cross-jurisdictional cases.
