The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.

Axyon AI
European fintech Axyon AI has appointed industry expert Gary Chropuvka to join its advisory committee.

The Italy-based business which, as its name suggests, concentrates on artificial intelligence, said Chropuvka, who is based in the US, has more than 20 years’ experience in quantitative investing.

Chropuvka has served in executive roles including co-head of quantitative investment strategies at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and president of WorldQuant. Earlier this year, Axyon AI appointed Massimo Tosato and Andrea Gentilini to join its committee.

Titanbay, the private markets investment platform for private banks, wealth managers and family offices, has appointed Ossama Soliman as chief operating officer. Soliman is responsible for technology, product, data and analytics.

Soliman has worked in technology and financial services for almost 20 years – for American Express and Amazon for example. Most recently, Soliman was the chief product officer in two fintech unicorn startups in London, TrueLayer and Zilch.

Burgess Mee Family Law
Burgess Mee Family Law has appointed Charlotte Ballard Scott as a consultant.

Prior to this, Ballard Scott was a partner in the family department at Kingsley Napley until 2007, focusing on both financial and children work.

Lowry Legal
High net worth divorce law firm specialist Lowry Legal has appointed mediator and family lawyer Michelle Uppal, who is joining as a partner.

The firm, based in Manchester, said it will also be creating a dedicated London office.

Uppal’s appointment is Lowry Legal’s second partner hire of 2023. Uppal brings almost 25 years’ experience assisting separating HNW couples with expertise in child arrangements, post-separation finances, and cross-jurisdictional cases.
