The bank is expanding its wealth management business in Germany, focusing on ultra-high net worth and entrepreneurial clients as well as sophisticated family offices.

Credit Suisse has named Dr Maximilian Wolters as a managing director and senior relationship manager in Germany.

His remit is to support and grow the bank’s local ultra-high net worth individual client base. Dr Wolters is based in Frankfurt and reports to Sven Stephan, head for the Wealth Management Germany Domestic business.

Dr Wolters, who has spent 18 years supporting UHNWI clients, is joining the bank from Citi Private Bank where he was the lead banker responsible for Germany and Austria. Prior to Citi, he worked at Edmond de Rothschild as head Wealth Management Germany. He has also worked at Sal. Oppenheim, Julius Baer and UBS Wealth Management.

Mischa Tschopp, wealth management market area head for Germany and Austria, said: “We are delighted to appoint someone of Maximilian’s calibre as we continue to invest in and grow our wealth management franchise in Germany. His experience and in-depth knowledge of the UHNWI space will further strengthen our domestic wealth management offering.”
