UBS Re-Opens Headquarters

The bank and wealth management group has given its Zurich HQ a major overhaul.
UBS reopens its
headquarters in Zurich today, resuming operations after a
three-year refurbishment to a building that was built more than a
100 years ago.
Located in the Swiss city’s Bahnhofstrasse area in which a number
of banks are located, the modernised building is now “sustainably
designed” – aiming for improved energy efficiency. The entire
ground floor is now open to clients and visitors. The bank has
created a UBS Forum at the heart of the ground floor.
Work on the building was led by the general planner team at EM2N
Architekten AG.
The bank declined to say how much the refurbishment cost when
asked by this publication.
The refurbishment work left the building’s exterior, which is
protected by listing controls, largely unaffected.
