Brown Shipley Forges Yorkshire Business Connections

The deal will see Brown Shipley provide mentoring to local businesses across Yorkshire for the next three years.
Wealth management firm Brown Shipley has
agreed a three year partnership deal with Connect Yorkshire, a
not-for-profit organisation supporting businesses in the
region.
The new deal is an extension of Brown Shipley’s existing
partnership with the South Yorkshire region and will see the
business provide mentoring to local businesses across Yorkshire
for the next three years, the firm said in a statement.
Connect Yorkshire works with professionals to help entrepreneurs
develop success, nurture emerging talent and support growth
through their sector specific expertise.
Phil Harris, client director in Brown Shipley’s Leeds office,
will be responsible for leading the partnership with Connect
Yorkshire. According to the firm, Brown Shipley will be the
sole wealth manager in the region to support members.
“Supporting local entrepreneurs is a key priority for the
business and our advisors are looking forward to sharing their
knowledge and expertise to help promote further growth and
success in this dynamic region,” Andrew Goodchild, head of Brown
Shipley’s Leeds office, said.
The firm is not the first to expand its operation across
different regions of the UK. Recently, this publication reported
that both
Julius Baer and
UBS are expanding business in Scotland.
