Geneva-Based Bank Adds Expertise

The banking group has appointed a senior figure for its UK-focused client business in Switzerland.
Santander Private Banking International in Geneva (Banco
Santander Suisse SA) has appointed Duncan Munro as senior vice
president for its UK-focused business in Switzerland. Munro
begins his role on 1 March.
Prior to this, Munro managed Lombard Odier's UK-orientated team
in Geneva. His 37-year banking career has primarily been based in
Geneva, where he has previously also run private banking teams
for HSBC and Lloyds.
"Our global private banking business is built upon a strong
foundation of collaboration and partnership with our colleagues
throughout the Santander Group - Duncan's active involvement in
the interaction with our UK businesses will be of very
significant benefit," Frans von Chrismar, Santander's Head of UK
private client business in Geneva, said. Munro reports to von
Chrismar in his new role.
"Duncan brings a hands-on approach to client relationship
management and he has built a particular reputation for his
expertise in the UK resident non-domiciled client segment - a
burgeoning part of our Geneva business," he added.
