Brown Shipley Inks Sponsorship Deal With County Cricket Team

This deal is just one of many between sports teams and financial institutions.
Wealth management firm Brown Shipley has
signed an enhanced and extended two-year sponsorship deal with
Lancashire County Cricket Club to become its official wealth
management partner.
The firm has sponsored the club since 2013 and has now extended
its deal until at least 2018, Brown Shipley said in a
statement.
The new partnership has seen the creation of the Brown Shipley
Club Suite, which used to be the old home dressing room at
Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire County.
Brown Shipley will also benefit from pitch facing perimeter
boarding at Emirates Old Trafford for all international and
domestic fixtures as well as branding in the suite which can be
used for small meetings, private dinners, events and matchday
hospitality.
Lancashire County Cricket Club and Brown Shipley will also be
hosting a number of Manchester-based events for North West
businesses in the UK.
“This is an exciting time for Lancashire County Cricket Club and
I am thrilled that Brown Shipley will be part of an action-packed
calendar of events at Emirates Old Trafford this summer and
next,” said Ian Sackfield, chief executive at Brown Shipley. “As
a business with a strong heritage and commitment to Manchester
and the North West, I am also pleased to continue our partnership
with one of the region’s pre-eminent sporting teams.”
Deals between sports clubs and firms in the financial sector have
been prominent over the past few weeks, as this publication
reported in June about a partnership deal between
multi-asset brokerage firm Blackwell Global and English Premier
League football club Everton.
