One Moore Hire For Brown Shipley

Venerable UK private bank Brown Shipley, a subsidiary of Belgian-owned KBL, has hired Richard Moore as banking services director to work in its regional office in Manchester. He joins from RBS-owned private bank Adam & Co.

He takes up his new post on 22 September 2008, reporting to Robert Smoker, executive director responsible for Brown Shipley’s banking services for high net worth private clients.

The appointment is part of a continuing development of Brown Shipley’s banking services.  In addition to banking, Brown Shipley also provides discretionary managed investment portfolios, pensions, financial planning and fund management.

Mr Smoker said: "Richard’s appointment provides an exciting opportunity to significantly grow our banking business with clients and intermediaries around the country.  He brings extensive experience from within the industry as a traditional private banker."

Brown Shipley has client offices in London, Manchester and Leeds and has recently announced it will be opening offices in Birmingham and Edinburgh.
