The multi-family office firm has made a number of senior appointments to its Channel Islands operations in recent years.
Stonehage
Fleming has appointed Natasha Newell as director of the
group’s family office team in Guernsey. She will report to Iris
Harvey, head of family office in Guernsey.
Newell, who has extensive experience of offshore trusts, has
worked as a senior lawyer for some of the world’s most
prominent offshore law firms, most recently for Carey Olsen.
She began her career as a competition lawyer in Brussels and
subsequently qualified as an English barrister.
For more than a decade, Newell practised at a leading commercial
set of barristers’ Chambers in London, then moved to
Guernsey in 2014 and later qualified as a Guernsey Advocate. Her
professional memberships include STEP, ACTAPS and the Chancery
Bar Association.
Newell has been appointed to the board of Stonehage Fleming
(Guernsey) Limited as well as the boards of its corporate
trustees and corporate directors. She will work with the
Stonehage Fleming Family Office accounting, banking and
investment teams.
In March, Sarah Bartram-Lora Reina was appointed as a trustee
director in the Jersey family office division. Claire Strecker
also joined Stonehage Fleming’s Jersey Family Office team as a
director in risk and compliance. Stonehage Fleming has been
bolstering its Channel Islands' teams. See
