Emerging European Portfolios Manager At Jupiter Leaves For New Pastures
A new co-manager of Jupiter’s emerging European portfolios has been announced as her predecessor leaves the firm for a career change.
A new co-manager of Jupiter’s emerging European
portfolios has been announced as her predecessor leaves the firm
for a career change.
Kathryn Langridge will manage the portfolios alongside Colin
Croft, following Elena Shaftan’s retirement. Before leaving for a
career outside fund management, Shaftan will remain with the firm
until Langridge’s transition has completed.
Langridge, who has been with the London firm since 2010,
currently manages Jupiter’s Global Emerging Markets Fund. She was
chosen as Shaftan’s replacement for her investment processes,
which mirrored those already in place under Shaftan and
Croft.
The fund focuses on bottom-up stock selection with an emphasis on
companies that have strong management, solid finances and a
competitive edge in their market.
Croft worked with Shaftan on the emerging European team for seven
years. Jupiter will play on Langridge’s 30-year experience in
emerging market investments and the pairs’ knowledge in the
continued running of its portfolio.
