Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Schroders, Arbuthnot Latham, W1M

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.
Schroders
UK-headquartered Schroders – which is in the
process of being
acquired in a major M&A deal – has appointed Guillaume
Lendormy as head of cross border, financial institutions – a
newly-created role. He will be joining on 4 May, reporting
directly to Matt Oomen, global head of client group, Schroders.
Lendormy will be responsible for overseeing and driving the global client strategy for large institutions which operate across multiple markets, navigating jurisdictional and regulatory complexity. This will involve strengthening relationships, ensuring consistent engagement with the key decision-makers across relevant jurisdictions. It will also involve liaising with Schroders’ investment teams to ensure that market insights and product capabilities are aligned with clients’ evolving needs and are responsive to emerging investment opportunities across regions.
Previously, Lendormy was at PGIM – Global Wealth, where he was responsible for global financial institutions across EMEA and Asia. Before that he served in senior global roles at Robeco for more than a decade.
“Cross-border financial institutions are increasingly sophisticated and in need of strategic advice and bespoke solutions as they navigate growing challenges spanning the likes of macroeconomic volatility and evolving regulation,” Oomen said. “Guillaume’s more than 20 years’ experience working with large, complex international institutions will strengthen our ability to serve this hugely important client demographic.”
Lendormy’s appointment follows shortly after Patrick Schwyzer’s hire as head of Europe, the firm added.
Arbuthnot Latham
Arbuthnot
Latham, a private and commercial bank, has appointed
Georgina Cummings as an investment manager based in Exeter, and
Michal Walkowski as an investment risk manager within the bank’s
wealth management team.
Cummings, who has more than seven years’ experience in the investment management sector, is joining from Rathbones Group. She is replacing Henry Hall, the firm told WealthBriefing. In her most recent role as investment manager, she worked with private clients and charities, managing portfolios and carrying out investment research. A Chartered Member of the CISI, she brings expertise across private client, trust and charity portfolios.
In her new role, Cummings will work alongside the private banking and financial planning teams to provide support and ensure that investment strategy sits within clients’ broader objectives. She will report to Edward Johnstone, head of investment management, and will work with clients across the Southwest, the firm said in a statement.
Walkowski, who brings more than 15 years of investment experience across the insurance, consulting, and banking sectors, holds qualifications including the FRM and CFA. He is replacing Abdul Wajid, who left at the end of last year, the firm told WealthBriefing. Walkowski started his career at HSBC where he worked as a liquidity risk manager. He then moved to Liberty Specialty Markets working in the investments and finance risks team, before joining Demeter Capital. His expertise spans investment risk consulting, asset-liability management, and liability-driven investment strategies, with a focus on aligning investment portfolios to long-term obligations and enhancing risk-adjusted outcomes. Based in London, he will report to Peter Doherty, head of investment research.
He will be responsible for strengthening risk oversight, advancing analytical capabilities, and supporting resilient investment strategy across the organisation.

Reporting to Joshua Moss, head of US private wealth, McGuinness previously served as a senior portfolio manager at London & Capital. After leaving London & Capital, he joined Arbuthnot Latham as a senior investment manager, ultimately progressing to director. Before that, he served in a variety of roles at European Wealth Management and Coutts.
Reporting to Nick Hammond, head of private wealth, Thompson is joining as a wealth manager from Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning, where she spent over nine years managing a diverse portfolio of HNW clients, including professionals, business owners and retirees. With over 20 years’ experience, Thompson delivers tailored and analytical advice to private clients with complex wealth planning needs. She previously worked at St James’s Place, Lloyds and Coutts.
Finally, George Haggas joins as a portfolio manager in the Financial Intermediary Office. Reporting to Alexandra Buchan-Heelas, head of Financial Intermediary Office, he will be responsible for managing portfolios for trusts, companies and other structures. He joined Smith & Williamson in 2016 on the graduate training scheme, subsequently becoming part of Evelyn Partners, where he managed global equity and multi-asset portfolios for a wide range of clients and was responsible for the firm’s global chemical and UK fund research.
“I’m thrilled to expand W1M’s private client channels with the appointment of Chris, Jan and George, all of whom bring unparalleled expertise. Our continued ability to attract the best industry talent, including welcoming back former employees, clearly shows that advisors want to be a part of the truly unique and exciting proposition W1M is building,” Rupert Elwes, head of private clients at W1M, said.
