Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Schroders, Investec Bank

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.
Schroders
UK-headquartered Schroders – in the
process of
being acquired in a major M&A deal – has appointed
Patrick Schwyzer (pictured) as its new head of client group,
Europe, effective 7 April. Based in Zurich, he will report to
Matt Oomen, global head of client group
Schwyzer will lead the development and execution of Schroders’ European client strategy. With more than 20 years’ experience, he will liaise with the firm’s country heads to translate Schroders’ global priorities into locally relevant offerings, as well as strengthening the group's presence in its wealth, wholesale and institutional segments, the firm said in a statement.
Most recently, Schwyzer served as chief executive officer of Credit Suisse (Luxembourg), now UBS, where he led a team of more than 350 employees across multiple European jurisdictions, with responsibility for the wealth management platform and its strategic development.
“Patrick is a leader with deep experience across private banking, advisory and investment solutions,” Oomen said. “He brings a strong track record of driving growth and building high-performing teams across multiple markets. His broad network and understanding of clients in Europe will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our regional franchise.”
Patrick’s appointment follows a range of senior appointments across the firm in the last 12 months, including Matt Oomen as global head of client group, Tom Stephens as head of ETFs and Rachel Harris as head of UK institutional.
Investec Bank
Investec Bank

real estate lending.
Hollie Sleigh
Sleigh will be responsible for leading a team providing tailored property financing solutions to high net worth clients, family offices and privately owned corporates considering real estate opportunities in the Crown Dependencies and the UK. She will support Crown Dependencies-based clients investing locally or accessing the UK real estate market, as well as UK-based high net worth clients investing in the Channel Islands. She will work between Investec’s onshore real estate teams and Investec Bank (Channel Islands)’s offshore private banking teams to bring the full scale of Investec’s banking and lending offering to clients. Sleigh will also work with the team at Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited, including Emily Dawson, head of private banking, Andy Smith, head of financial intermediaries, and the wider private client team across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.
“Hollie’s appointment strengthens our real estate proposition in the Crown Dependencies and enhances the expertise and experience we bring to clients who are looking to invest in, or structure their investments via, these jurisdictions,” Jane Niles, chief executive officer of Investec Bank (Channel Islands), said. “Our clients will benefit from Hollie’s deep local understanding and valuable real estate experience, having worked as a key member of our London team and our offshore team, leveraging close understanding of complex cross-border structures.”
