Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Charles Russell Speechlys, Omni Partners

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.
Charles Russell Speechlys
International law firm Charles
Russell Speechlys has appointed Nadim Meer (pictured) as
partner in the corporate team.
His practice spans a broad range of corporate work within the private equity market, primarily advising founders and management teams on buyouts and growth capital investments with fully independent, conflict-free advice. Alongside this, Meer advises a range of corporates on strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, fundraising and joint ventures. He regularly supports alternative investors of private capital on their investments. He also advises on UK and cross-border transactions with particular experience in the business services, technology and consumer sectors.
Meer is an advisory board member of KERB+, a social enterprise, cooking up positive social impact through street food. Another of Meer's key interests is purpose-driven businesses. In his previous role, he regularly assisted clients with purpose, sustainability, and ESG issues.
Previously, Meer was corporate partner and head of private equity at Mishcon de Reya, where he was also a training principal and co-chair of Mishcon’s Race Equity Committee. Prior to that, Meer spent over seven years at Dundas & Wilson (now CMS), where he was a private equity partner. Before that, he spent another seven years in the corporate and private equity team of Hammonds (now Squire Patton Boggs).
“Nadim is a terrific addition to our corporate team and has a compelling track record in private equity, fundraising and strategic M&A,” David Collins, partner, said. “He has a wealth of experience supporting both corporate clients and non-institutional investors and is a strong fit given the firm’s focus on private capital. Nadim’s arrival strengthens our capability in advising founders, management teams and private investors, and we expect him to play a significant role in supporting our clients’ growth ambitions across the UK and internationally.”
Meer’s appointment follows several other transactional and advisory appointments in recent months. The firm appointed funds and real estate partner Ed Morgan and corporate tax and incentives partner Vadim Romanoff in November 2025, as well as partner and seasoned funds specialist Matthew Griffin in October 2025.
Omni Partners
Omni Partners,
a lower mid-market private equity investment firm, has appointed
Roald Hunvik as partner to lead the firm’s Nordic investment
strategy.
Based in Oslo, Hunvik is Omni’s first hire outside the UK. His mandate is to extend the company’s reach to include founder-led businesses in the lower mid-market operating throughout the Nordic region. The Nordics offer a natural fit for Omni’s approach: a deep pool of profitable founder-led technology and tech-enabled services businesses, strong digital maturity and an entrepreneurial culture aligned with Omni’s own.
Hunvik will bring Omni’s operationally-focused approach to the Nordic region, targeting fast growing, mission-led companies looking for their first institutional capital. Working closely with the rest of the Omni team, he will lead origination, execution and portfolio support across the Nordics, doing what he knows best: working alongside management teams to professionalise operations, refine go-to-market strategies and support international expansion.
Hunvik has nearly two decades of experience advising, investing in and helping founders and management teams scale businesses across the Nordics. He was formerly with Monterro, a Nordic B2B software investor. Earlier in his career, Hunvik spent 13 years at Alpha Corporate Finance, a Norwegian M&A advisory firm, building a deep network across the Nordic technology ecosystem. He began his career as a 1st Lieutenant in the Norwegian Armed Forces. Hunvik holds an MSc in investment management from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) in London and a BSc in finance from BI Norwegian Business School.
“Roald is a great fit for Omni. Culturally he gets what we're trying to do, and expanding into the Nordics is a logical next step for us,” Charles Gallagher-Powell, head of PE and partner at Omni, said. “Looking across the region, there are a ton of interesting founder-led businesses that do what we're after – they profitably dominate their niches and are primed for growth. As more companies like this look for a partner who doesn't just bring capital but also has actual operational experience, Roald’s track record means he's in a strong position to deliver on this.”
