The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, and other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

Impax
Impax Asset Management, a London-based specialist manager focused on the transition to a more sustainable economy, has made two hires for its listed equities team.

Paul Byrne is joining from BNY Investments Newton as head of portfolio advisory, systematic investments and Sebastien Bidault is joining from Redwheel as director, associate portfolio manager and global technology analyst. Both are based in London.

Byrne will lead portfolio risk advisory within Impax’s fundamental equities process. He will also act as a portfolio manager for the firm’s systematic equities strategies. At Newton, he most recently ran quantitative research and portfolio construction while managing thematic, multi-asset and small-cap strategies.

Bidault was co-portfolio manager of the Redwheel Biodiversity and Redwheel Clean Economy funds. Before that, he spent seven years as a portfolio manager at Tesco Pension Investment, where he helped manage a £5 billion ($6.7 billion) global equities mandate. Earlier, he served in investment and equity research roles at JO Hambro Capital Management, Société Générale and HSBC.

At Impax, Bidault will be responsible for technology research and support portfolio management of the firm’s environmental markets equities strategies, including the Leaders strategy.

Gen II Fund Services
Gen II Fund Services, a provider of private capital fund administration, has relocated director Raul Ramos from Jersey to become head of Private Equity Fund Services, to strengthen its private equity fund services team in Guernsey.

Ramos, who has more than 20 years of experience working in fund services, accounting and audit, including more than a decade working with funds in the Channel Islands, has been a director at Gen II since 2022. Previously, he held senior fund services positions at several fund administration firms in Jersey.

Ramos joined Gen II following its acquisition of Crestbridge, where he had been director, Funds since 2022. Before joining Crestbridge, he spent more than six years with Intertrust Group, progressing through a series of financial accounting and management positions to associate director. He began his career with SGV & Co in the Philippines before spending almost six years with Ernst & Young.

“Raul is a highly experienced fund services professional who already knows Gen II, our clients and the Channel Islands extremely well. Bringing that experience into our Guernsey business is a natural next step as we continue to develop the team supporting managers in the jurisdiction,” Michael Johnson, chief commercial officer at Gen II Fund Services, said.

“We want clients to benefit from the depth of expertise we have across the Channel Islands as well as the capabilities of the wider Gen II business. Raul's move strengthens that connection between Jersey and Guernsey and adds another experienced senior practitioner to the team on the ground.”

Ramos’ new position (he relocted to Guernsey in Augusts 2026) follows the recent appointment of Niel Krastin as director, Private Equity Funds in Guernsey, as reported here.
