The firm is riding on the wave of private market investments, focusing on areas such as early-stage companies in the UK.

Growthdeck, a UK-based venture capital platform founded in 2016, has rebranded to Your VC. The change follows its appointment of a new CEO, Freddie Hamilton, and chairman, Kieron Launder.

“At Your VC, we believe venture capital should feel different,” Hamilton said. “Too often, individual investors are asked to commit capital without rigorous scrutiny of opportunities, or the ongoing support they deserve once invested. We exist to change that – putting control firmly back into the hands of our investors.”

The platform has supported over 30 businesses, invested more than £50 million ($66.5 million) for clients, and delivered four successful exits, it said.

It concentrates on connecting individual investors with early-stage UK companies through the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme.

The business model has evolved at a time when wealth management in general is being urged to widen access to alternative investments, including private market assets.
