T Rowe Price Appoints Head Of Strategic Partners

The $764 billion global asset manager has added to its UK intermediary team.

T Rowe Price has appointed Matthew Jenkins to the newly-created position of head of strategic partners.

He joins from Neptune Investment Management, where he has worked since 2007, latterly as head of advisory sales and strategic partners. Previously, he held roles at MetLife and Scottish Widows.

Based in London, Jenkins will spearhead T Rowe Price’s relationships with platforms, life companies, fund ratings agencies and large national advisory firms. As part of its growth drive in the intermediary market, the firm is also set to launch its OEIC fund range in the coming months, subject to regulatory approval.

“The UK is a key market for us at T Rowe Price. We have a long-term commitment to broadening our reach and increasing awareness of our renowned research-based capabilities in the wider advisory space,” said John Yule, head of UK at T Rowe Price.

“Matthew has built strong relationships with key partners over recent years and will undoubtedly be instrumental in helping us drive development in this key area of priority for our group.”

In May, Simon King joined the firm's London office to lead its client relationship management team serving fund selectors and financial intermediaries in the UK.
