As Spain is becoming an increasingly important market for international expatriates, entrepreneurs, professionals and families whose financial lives often span several jurisdictions, Skybound Wealth is planning to meet this demand.

Skybound Wealth, the global wealth advisory brand of the Skybound Wealth Management Group, has opened a new office in Barcelona, its second location in Spain.

Spain has become an increasingly important market for international expatriates, entrepreneurs, professionals and families whose financial lives often span several jurisdictions. In January, Taylor Condon (pictured below) was appointed as country manager for Spain and in May the firm opened its Mijas office on the Costa del Sol to meet this growing demand.

The two offices give Skybound greater reach across Spain and reflect the different character of the markets they serve. Barcelona complements the group’s established presence in southern Spain.

“In less than a year, we have gone from announcing our entry into Spain to serving clients from two locations, each with local leadership and the full backing of the group,” Peter Gollogly (pictured below), regional director, said. “That pace is only possible with the right people. Taylor has led the build-out on the ground, from establishing Mijas to shaping the plan and the team for Barcelona, without compromising on the standards our clients expect.”

Condon added: “Spain has become an increasingly important market for us. We’re seeing growing demand from people who already live here, as well as those planning a move, who need clear guidance that takes account of more than one country.”

The Barcelona office will host a programme of client and partner events in the months ahead to mark the launch. The expansion is part of a wider European build-out, as the group continues to invest in regulated local presence backed by global infrastructure, alongside its established operations in the UK, Switzerland and Cyprus.

In other news, in the UK Skybound Wealth has appointed Jamie Proctor as head of its Athletes & Creators division. Before qualifying as a financial planner, Proctor played professionally in the English football leagues.
