A former professional footballer, who joined the international wealth manager in 2025 as its first specialist advisor to sports and media clients, now heads the division.
Skybound
Wealth, an international wealth management group serving
clients whose careers and assets span several jurisdictions, has
appointed Jamie Proctor (main picture) as head of its Athletes &
Creators division.
Proctor, who played professionally in the English football
leagues before qualifying as a financial planner, joined the firm
in September 2025 as the division’s first private wealth advisor.
He will lead its day-to-day development, including recruitment
and relationships across sport and digital media, while
continuing to advise clients directly.
The division was launched in August 2025 to serve professional
athletes, content creators and their families. It covers cash
flow, protection, investments and pensions, alongside tax and
cross-border planning for clients whose income can change
quickly, whether through an international transfer, a retirement
from sport or fluctuating platform earnings.
According to the firm, the team now works with Premier League
and European and Women’s Super League clubs, one of the
world’s largest multi-club ownership groups and international
sports and entertainment agencies. It has also built a network in
the Saudi Pro League as well as expanding into boxing and
media.
Proctor’s colleagues include former Scotland international
footballer Christophe Berra and Team GB Olympic boxer Delicious
Orie, both qualified advisors, and Emmanuel Asuquo, a private
wealth advisor at Skybound Wealth UK who is also a broadcaster
and author. They draw on the group’s tax specialists, its
Cross-Border Support Desk and its proprietary Plume technology,
including the MoneyMap forecasting tool.
Proctor, from Preston in the UK northwest, has played in the
English Football League for his home town club as well as teams
such as Swansea City, Crawley Town, Fleetwood Town, Scunthorpe,
United, Newport County, Wigan Athletic and Bradford City. He has
also appeared for Bolton Wanderers and Carlisle United, as well
as Rotherham United. He retired as a professional last year.
