Barclays W&IM Poaches EMEA Product Head From Alliance Bernstein

The wealth and investment management business of UK-listed Barclays has appointed a new head of fund products.
Barclays Wealth and Investment Management has hired Mike Fullalove from Alliance Bernstein as head of fund products within its London-based global investments and solutions team.
Fullalove joins from his position as head of product development for EMEA at Alliance Bernstein. He formerly worked at Nomura as the global head of equity derivatives before spending eight years at Merrill Lynch.
He will be responsible for managing fund products' innovation, origination, and placement across Barclays' personal and corporate banking division, which includes wealth management. The fund products in his remit will include mutual funds, hedge funds, private assets and pension products.
Fullalove will also join Barclays' global investments and solutions executive committee. He will report to Solomon Soquar, who previously led Barclays W&IM's fund products team before his appointment as head of GI&S.
“Mike brings with him 20 years' industry experience with deep investment expertise, a passion to innovate and the ability to develop a business proposition,” said Soquar.
“GI&S provides a significant capability within personal and corporate banking, delivering ‘best in class’ investment services and innovative investment ideas to all client segments across Barclays and I’m delighted that Mike will be joining to lead our fund products team.”
The new addition follows this week's appointment of Citi Private Bank's global chief operating officer, Dena Brumpton, as the new head of Barclays W&IM's UK private bank.
