The new family office business continues to expand with another important C-suite appointment.
Stonegate Capital, which recently announced its
establishment in Dubai, and has
appointed a CEO, has appointed a senior asset and wealth
management figure as chief investment officer.
Peter Warnes (pictured below) will lead the development of the
firm’s investment capabilities across investment strategy, asset
allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, due
diligence and manager selection, across both public and private
markets, the firm said in statement on Friday. In total, he has
more than 30 years’ capital markets experience in institutional,
family office and private wealth management realms.
Peter Warnes
Warnes built his career at JP Morgan Asset Management in London
and Hong Kong. He has also held other senior leadership positions
including head of multi-asset solutions (international) for
Manulife Investment Management, and CIO and interim CEO for BOS
[Ban of Singapore] Wealth Management Malaysia. Warnes has been
based in London, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and the UAE, with

The organisation has said it intends to have a team of 11 people
by the end of this year and it is aiming to establish a
pathbreaking AI-integrated family office. AI, data and automation
will be embedded across investment analysis, due diligence,
portfolio monitoring, risk management and reporting, supported by
experienced human judgment and strong governance, it said.
