Stonegate Capital Names New Chief Financial Officer

, which recently announced its establishment in Dubai, has appointed Sadeek Nilamdeen (pictured) as chief financial officer.

Nilamdeen will lead the firm’s financial function and play a key role in strengthening the governance, reporting and financial processes supporting the firm’s investment activities and long-term growth, it said in a statement. He has experience across investment execution, corporate finance, governance and financial management.

Nilamdeen brings close to 20 years of experience of working family office, corporate finance and investment environments. Prior to joining Stonegate, he served as CFO of the Al-Futtaim Family Office, where he led investment infrastructure, capital deployment, due diligence and reporting. Before that, he spent more than a decade as head of corporate finance at Al-Futtaim Group, leading acquisitions across MENA, Southeast Asia and East Africa. Earlier in his career, he worked in M&A advisory at KPMG and Ernst & Young (EY), advising on transactions exceeding $1.5 billion.

Nilamdeen’s hire follows the recent appointment of a CEO for the Dubai operation as it expands its business, setting a goal of having a team of 11 people by the end of the year.
