Archampong's remit will be to lead the firm's expansion of its insurance advisory, origination, and specialist capabilities across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. As part of the role, he will use Vontobel's expertise in fixed income, solutions, and private markets to deliver tailored investment solutions for insurers.

Before he joined Vontobel, Archampong was head of sales, UK Institutional & Insurance, at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. Previously, he served in senior insurance-focused roles at Wells Fargo Asset Management, Royal London Asset Management, and JP Morgan Asset Management.

In July, Vontobel reported net profit of SFr216 million ($266 million) for the first half of 2026, up 87 per cent on the same period last year, as revenues rose 24 per cent to SFr852 million. Assets under management stood at SFr252.2 billion as of 30 June 2026. Net new money rose to SFr2.5 billion from SFr2.0 billion a year earlier.
