Charles Russell Speechlys Vadim Romanoff Previously, Romanoff was tax director at Clifford Chance, and prior to that he was a senior tax associate at Baker McKenzie. He has more than 17 years' experience working in several leading law firms and a single-family office in London. He has expertise in UK and international tax matters, including the structuring of private investment funds, family offices, and complex corporate transactions. Romanoff has a track record of advising on major M&A deals, intra-group restructurings, and innovative tax solutions for a diverse range of clients. His client base includes major investment managers, institutional investors, banks, private equity and hedge funds, family offices, venture capital firms, and innovative start-ups. In October 2025, Charles Russell Speechlys appointed Matthew Griffin as partner in the funds and investment management team. The firm also named James Stewart in October 2024 as partner in the corporate tax and incentives team, with a particular specialism in real estate, to offer advice to new and existing clients and explore cross-collaboration opportunities, both in the UK and internationally. Ocorian Arvinder Mudhar Mudhar will be responsible for developing and executing Ocorian’s digital strategy, helping to drive growth, enhancing client experience, and improving operational efficiency across the group. Based in London, he will lead Ocorian’s digital strategy including business as usual operations, automation, information security, and transformation. Previously he was group chief information officer at private equity-backed insurance company IQUW. Mudhar has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector including roles at Barclays Wealth, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and JP Morgan. “Developing and executing our digital strategy is key to our continuing growth,” Free said. “Arvinder’s appointment brings the experience, pace, and vision to help us push ever further, transforming the way we work and the value we deliver to our clients every day.”
, has appointed Karan Sejpal as wealth management head – a newly formed role.
Sejpal brings over 20 years' experience within the wealth management industry with roles at Credit Suisse, Barclays and UBS. Sejpal is joining from Cazenove Capital (part of the Schroders Group) where he led the discretionary fund management team, entrepreneurs team and regional offices.
In the new position, Sejpal will report to Ed Dymott, CEO of Benchmark and will join the executive leadership team.
