Azura Appoints Former Monaco Government Figure; Continues Growth

has named a former member of the Monaco government, Frédéric Genta, as chairman and regional head of Europe.
In his role, and as a partner of the firm, Genta will oversee European operations, accelerating Azura’s expansion across the continent, Azura said in a statement yesterday.
In his former job, Genta’s role included managing the principality's policy of attracting entrepreneurs, investors and family offices. A Monaco and Swiss national, he also oversaw all tech-related topics.
In other roles, Genta has held senior positions at Amazon and Google. He has served on European company boards, he lectures on AI at ESCP Business School, and contributes regularly to Harvard Business Review. Genta is a graduate of ESCP business school and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. On a more personal level, Genta is the son of the late celebrated watchmaker Gérald Genta.
This news service interviewed founder Ali Jamal about Azura’s business philosophy here. Three of its seven offices are in Europe, and it is headquartered in Monaco. Azura, formed in 2019, employs a total of 60 people. It has tripled its AuM to almost $5 billion and points out that 40 per cent of its total workforce are women.
In another senior appointment, Anne Torrel-Izrael has joined as head of client and business development for Europe and project lead for private wealth solutions, supporting Genta in the latter’s role.
Torrel-Izrael, born and raised in Monaco, brings experience from senior roles in private wealth at Pictet, Credit Suisse, and Goldman Sachs, in London, Geneva and Paris, alongside expertise in family offices and executive search. She is a graduate of ESCP Business School and holds an MBA from Wharton.
