The firm has appointed Craig Ritchie as a partner. Ritchie is a chartered financial planner and looks after clients in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, GSB said in a statement yesterday. He has worked in the pensions industry in Edinburgh.

In his new role, Ritchie will work with his brother Stuart Ritchie as well as Mauro de Santis Bo and Yazmin Boden, who all recently joined the business from AES International.

Dubai-based GSB was founded in 2021. It provides wealth management, financial planning, asset financing, private client structuring, multi-family office and a capital markets proposition encompassing private equity, venture capital, M&A, pre-listing funding, IPO, corporate finance, corporate advisory and private fundraising.

In September 2022, GSB obtained a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) licence to be directly authorised in the UK.

In the summer of 2022, DIFC launched its “global family business and private wealth centre." The move highlights how international financial centres are competing to be hubs for such clients at a time when business succession, wealth transfer and control – covering assets worth tens of trillions of dollars – are regular conversation points in the wealth sector.
