Neuberger Berman Appoints Client Leadership In Germany, Austria

has appointed Christian Puschmann as head of client group for Germany and Austria.

Puschmann spent the last seven years as deputy head of institutional sales at Invesco in Frankfurt. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in the asset management industry and has served as chairman of Investment Consultants Working Group and vice chairman of the Pension Business Committee at the German Asset Management Association (BVI).

In the newly created role, he will be based in Frankfurt, reporting to Dik van Lomwel, Neuberger Berman's head of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Puschmann will be responsible for client relationship management and business development across Germany and Austria with a particular focus on the firm’s institutional client base in the region.

“As we continue to deepen client relationships in this important region, it is vital to have experienced professionals with local expertise. Christian brings both so we are delighted that someone of his calibre has decided to join us and we look forward to his insights and contribution,” said Van Lomwel.

The new addition follows the appointment of Javier Nunez de Villavicencio to lead Neuberger Berman’s business activities in Spain and Portugal, as well as that of Jonathan Geoghegan to its UK financial institutions and intermediaries client group.

Neuberger Berman, which has offices in 19 countries, managed $237 billion in client assets as of the end of September.
