This news service is proud to be a long-term partner of Right to Play UK (RTP UK), a charity that gives children access to the joy of play – something that ought to be the right of every child.

Many children around the world are kept from their right to an education because of their gender, their ability, or simply where they live. They are excluded from schooling and other opportunities when forcibly uprooted from their homes because of conflict, persecution, poverty, and climate change. These factors keep children from their childhood, and their futures.

Play can provide children with a safe space away from conflict. It helps children overcome trauma and discrimination, return to learning, and make friends. Children can develop communication, leadership and teamworking skills through play, and it also has a positive impact on their mental wellbeing.

We urge readers to make a donation to RTP UK and be a part of the mission to protect, educate and empower children around the world through the transformative power of play. A gift of £15 a month will protect, educate and empower 12 children for a year using the power of play. RTP UK reaches millions of vulnerable children each year in some of the most difficult places on Earth, helping them grown, learn and heal.
