WTAS, the US tax advisory firm, has made a raft of promotions at its private client services, estate planning and alternative investment fund practices.
In Boston, the firm promoted Michael Hough to managing director in the private client services group. Hough has been with WTAS' private client services division for nine years and has worked for the firm since its inception in 2002. He works with high net worth clients and closely-held business, specializing in individuals, estates, trusts and flow-through entities.
In New York, Joseph Kluemper, from the international private client services practice, Carl Fiore, member of the estate planning group, and Janet Peng, who works with the alternative investment fund practice, have all been made managing directors.
"These three individuals bring a myriad of expertise to the table, including international taxation, family wealth planning and private equity services," said Joe Toce, the firm's office managing director for New York.
In Los Angeles, Daniel Lopez has been promoted to managing-director level for private client services, after nine years with the practice. He is experienced in tax compliance for individuals and their related businesses and investment entities and also works with family offices on matters such as family business structure, cash flow projections, choice of business entity and resolving tax disputes.
