Withers Adds To Wealth Planning Practice In Hong Kong

Withers, the international law firm, has appointment a new consultant for its wealth planning practice in Hong Kong.
Michelle Chow brings over 15 years of experience in corporate and charity law to this post, where she will focus on issues relating to trusts, wealth planning and philanthropy. She sits on the board of a number of charities in the territory. Chow worked for Farrer & Co before she joined Mayer Brown JSM, where he specialised in trust and corporate work advising clients on company formation and structures, and setting up charitable groups in Hong Kong.
The appointment further highlights Withers' expansion strategy in Asia, marked by seven partner hires in Hong Kong and Singapore in the past year alone. Just recently the firm brought in Stacey Devoy to lead the Asian matrimonial practice in Hong Kong and Simon Michaels to focus on tax and wealth planning. It also promoted Philip Munro and Fernando Gandioli to partner in its Asian wealth management practice, among others.
Withers opened its Singapore office in 2012, following the launch of its Hong Kong branch in 2008
