Hansberry joins Associated Wealth Management to help improve HNW services. Green Bay, Wisc.-based Associated Bank has made former Amcore Bank wealth manager James Hansberry its director of private banking, a new position.

The bank's strategy for expanding its wealth-management businesses comes down to building on existing relationships -- retail or commercial -- to offer financial solutions that address the high net worth client's total financial needs. To this end, Hansberry will work closely with Associated Bank's other business line partners to facilitate the development of new relationships around depositary and specialized lending services as part of the bank's holistic approach to serving high-net-worth clients.

Hansberry, a 25-year veteran of the financial-service industry, had been head of wealth-management and retirement-plan services at Rockford, Ill.-based Amcore Bank's Investment Group.
