The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, and other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

Vistra Fund Solutions
Vistra Fund Solutions, a fund administrator, has appointed Andrew O’Shea (pictured) as EVP and head of VFS Europe. Based in Ireland, O’Shea joins the funds leadership team and will oversee the firm’s European business.

Most recently, O’Shea served as global head of fund services at TMF Group, where he was responsible for shaping and executing the global fund services strategy for private capital. He oversaw client operations, technology enablement and organic and inorganic growth across more than 80 countries. Before TMF Group, O'Shea spent eight years at Intertrust, now part of CSC, where he held senior leadership positions in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland and the Channel Islands. He led complex, multi-jurisdictional operations across capital markets and private capital sectors, serving a global client base.

"Andrew will be a tremendous addition to our leadership team,” Abdel Hmitti, president of Vistra Fund Solutions, said in a statement. “He brings deep industry expertise, a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record of building high-performing teams and delivering sustainable growth in international fund services. His market knowledge will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our European business and position VFS for future success."

TrinityBridge
UK asset manager TrinityBridge has appointed Robert Nye, Alex Lennard and Peter Horton as managing directors within its bespoke investment management business. While Nye and Lennard join as new hires, Horton previously led TrinityBridge’s Cheltenham office since 2023.

These hires follow Tom Miller's appointment as head of Investment Management earlier this year. See an earlier story here.

Based at TrinityBridge's Wigmore Yard headquarters in London, Nye and Lennard bring experience of investment management, wealth management and client relationships. Nye was previously with Cazenove Capital, where he was head of South West and Wales, responsible for establishing and growing a team advising high net worth families, business owners, trusts and charities throughout the region. Nye, who has more than 15 years of wealth management experience, previously worked at LGT Vestra and Barclays Wealth Management. He is a CFA charterholder and holds a degree in economics from the University of Nottingham.

Lennard has spent nearly 20 years at Ruffer, including 14 years as a partner, where he held senior investment management, commercial and client leadership positions. As a member of Ruffer's Client and Distribution leadership team, he helped shape the firm's commercial strategy and involved in expanding its institutional client base in the UK and internationally. He also co-managed Ruffer's largest flagship investment fund. Lennard is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and holds a Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy from London Business School.

Horton, who joined TrinityBridge in 2023, has led the firm's Cheltenham office since its opening that year. He has more than 20 years of investment management experience. Previously, he spent 17 years at Investec Wealth & Investment as divisional director.

“We are delighted to welcome Robert and Alex to TrinityBridge and to recognise Peter's contribution through his promotion to managing director,” Miller said. “They each bring a wealth of experience and expertise, and I'm looking forward to working closely with them as we continue to strengthen our bespoke investment management offering and deliver the high level of service our clients expect.”

Quoniam
Quoniam, a European asset manager, has appointed Oliver Schulte as chief operations officer (COO), effective 1 January 2027, subject to regulatory approval. He will be joining Quoniam and its executive board on 1 December to ensure a smooth handover before officially taking over from Silke Weiser-Walther, who has been with the company since it was founded 27 years ago..

Schulte will be responsible for Quoniam’s operational platform, and for finance, risk, compliance and investment operations. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services, asset management and payments sectors. Most recently, he was managing director and CEO of Pagateq, Deutsche Bank’s payments subsidiary, where he was responsible for all business areas, including operations, technology, compliance, legal and human resources. Prior to that, he served as managing director of FIL Fondsbank (FFB), a subsidiary of Fidelity International. In his roles as COO, CFO and CRO, he was responsible for customer service, operations, technology and risk management. He has also served in various international leadership and transformation roles at Deutsche Bank.

“In Oliver Schulte, we are gaining an experienced leader with an impressive track record in transforming financial services companies, building high-performing operations and technology organisations, and managing complex regulatory requirements,” Nigel Cresswell, CEO and managing partner of Quoniam, said. “His broad experience in asset management, banking and payments will be of great value to Quoniam as we consistently drive forward our strategic development and continue to grow.”

Weiser-Walther, who will leave the company on 31 December 2026, has helped to shape the firm’s development over almost three decades, including 18 years as a member of the management board. “Quoniam would like to thank Silke Weiser-Walther for her commitment, her significant contribution to the company’s development and her successful work over many years,” Cresswell added.
