Global Wealth Management has appointed Bradley
Russell as head of Manchester and the NorthWest.
Russell, who has more than two decades of experience in the wealth management industry, will support UBS advisors in Manchester and the broader North West. He will be working with high net worth individuals and families, as well as business owners and entrepreneurs, the firm said in a statement.
Before joining UBS, Russell, a North-West native, spent 15 years at RBC Brewin Dolphin, where he was a senior investment manager and divisional director in their Manchester office. Prior to this, he worked at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management and started his career in the financial services industry in 2003. Russell specialises in managing investments for high net worth individuals and families, in particlar for business owners and entrepreneurs.
“His appointment both enhances our regional capabilities and strengthens the foundation for future growth within our Manchester office," James Meyrick, head of ultra-high net worth and regions at UBS Global Wealth Management, said.
A number of firms have been expanding their regional presence in
the UK. Most recently, UK wealth manager Canaccord Wealth
relocated to an ultra-modern,
purpose-built office in Birmingham and LGT Wealth
Management opened a
new office in Manchester.
Mourant
Mourant, a law
practice and professional services firm, has appointed Brad
Hillson from Kirland & Ellis, as global head of private
capital.
The practice, which includes services provided in BVI, Cayman,
Guernsey, Jersey, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Singapore and the
UK, spans investment funds' work, in particular fund
formation and structuring, reorganisations, and cross-border
transactions.
Ellis has advised leading private equity sponsors including Ares,
Bridgepoint, BC Partners, EQT, GLP Capital Partners, IK
Investment Partners, KKR, Montagu and Summit Partners.
He recently advised long-standing client, GLP Capital
Partners Limited, on the $3.7 billion sale of its international
business to Ares Management Corporation.
