Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – The Openwork Partnership, Evelyn Partners

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes among wealth management and related organisations in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and select international locations.

The Openwork Partnership
The Openwork Partnership (Openwork) has appointed Jennifer Mathias as its new chief financial officer for the group.

Mathias is joining from FTSE 250 Rathbones Group Plc where she was group CFO and latterly group chief of staff for over 5 years. Prior to Rathbones, she held positions as CFO and deputy CEO at EFG Private Bank (UK) and Global CFO of Coutts. She started her career with 14 years at Lloyds Banking Group.

The appointment follows the recent announcement that – subject to regulatory approval – Bain Capital has committed to making a significant minority investment in Openwork. This would enable the group to capitalise on “its unique market position” across the wealth management, mortgage and protection advice sectors, the firm said in a statement.

“In line with our growth ambitions, we have assembled a high calibre senior management team to which we are very fortunate to now add a CFO of Jennifer’s proven track record and extensive knowledge of the sector,” Philip Howell, CEO of Openwork, said.

The Openwork Partnership – a large UK financial services networks with more than 4,300 financial advisers operating across the UK – is a directly-authorised, multi-panel distribution network.

Evelyn Partners
UK wealth management firm Evelyn Partners this week appointed Mimi Corden-Lloyd as associate director to its London team.

Corden-Lloyd joins from her previous role at Coutts private bank and will work from the firm’s Gresham Street offices as part of the financial planning team in the capital, the firm said in a statement. Corden-Lloyd spent more than two years at Coutts, where she was most recently associate director in the sports, media and entertainment wealth management team.
