Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Saranac Partners, Puma Investments

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes among wealth management and related organisations in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and select international locations.

Saranac Partners
London-headquartered Saranac Partners, a private investment office, has appointed Catherine Burr as a client advisor, enhancing the firm’s client advisory capabilities.

Burr, who has more than 25 years of investment and financial management experience, has worked with clients across complex, multi-jurisdictional structures. She has advised families on succession planning, philanthropy, sustainability, and cross-border financial matters, the firm said in a statement.

Burr was previously with Umbra Capital Partners and, before that, she spent 15 years at UBS AG as a senior client advisor. Her early career included five years at Lehman Brothers International (Europe), where she worked closely with private clients and family offices.

Her appointment follows the additions of Henning Meyer as head of multi-asset strategies and Shawn Gates as head of financing, both of whom joined the firm in late 2024.

“Her deep expertise and client-centric approach align perfectly with our values and ambitions,” Michelle Witter, co-CEO of Saranac Partners, said. “Alongside the recent appointments of Henning Meyer and Shawn Gates, Catherine’s arrival reflects the momentum we’re building at Saranac. We are investing in top-tier talent to ensure we continue to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions to our clients.”

Puma Investments
Investment manager Puma Investments has appointed Jeremy Roberts (main picture) as managing director. He will report to David Kaye, CEO of Puma Investments.

Roberts, who brings more than 25 years of experience in fund management, most recently worked in global distribution roles at GAM Investments and Liontrust Asset Management. Prior to that, he worked at BlackRock for 20 years as head of the UK retail business and co-head of EMEA retail sales, serving private banks, wealth managers, IFAs and charities. His responsibilities also included the investment trust and third-party intermediated DC pension businesses. Roberts began his career at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.

Over the past few years, Puma has expanded its footprint, invested in its people, systems and marketing, and opened offices in Manchester and Edinburgh. The firm said that Roberts’ appointment reflects its ambition to increase its scale and ensure a cohesive, high-performing offering delivering high-quality investment products for its retail investor client base.

Part of Roberts’ remit will be to unify the firm’s retail investor capital strategy and unlock new investment opportunities for Puma’s universe of financial advisors, wealth managers, private banks and their underlying investor clients.

“His track record of leadership and deep industry expertise will be instrumental as we continue to scale our retail investment business,” Kaye said. “Jeremy’s appointment ensures we can bring together the exceptional talent we already have across our teams to deliver a seamless and enhanced experience for our clients and their financial advisors, wealth managers and private banks.”
