The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

Rothschild & Co
Rothschild & Co has made two new client-focused senior appointments in its UK wealth management business. Peter Hindle, who was previously head of UK regions for Rothschild & Co Wealth Management, will become the new head of client teams. Chris Oliver is joining as the new head of client strategy and execution. They will both be based in London.

Working in tandem, Hindle and Oliver will be jointly responsible for leading Rothschild & Co’s UK wealth management front office. The front office co-leadership roles replace the head of front office role previously carried out by James Morrell, who became deputy CEO of the UK Wealth Management business in 2024. Both Hindle and Oliver will be members of the management committee, working closely with Morrell and UK wealth management CEO, Helen Watson.

As head of client teams, Hindle will be responsible for managing the UK Wealth Management client teams and developing the next generation of client advisors. All of the client teams will report to Hindle, who will continue to be responsible for a number of key client relationships.

Oliver will be responsible for helping to grow the business and overseeing other key aspects of the front office including support, wealth solutions, front office operations, as well as marketing and business development.

“The creation of these new roles will support our continued investment in and expansion of the business as more clients entrust us with their wealth,” Watson said. “Chris’s breadth of experience and understanding of Wealth Management across client-facing, risk management and business development roles is a perfect complement to Peter’s knowledge of our business and track record in building our regional UK wealth management presence,” Morrell added.

Hindle joined Rothschild & Co from Credit Suisse in 2015 to lead and develop the UK regional wealth management business, which now has four offices (Birmingham, Guernsey, Leeds, Manchester) and a team of 30 people. He began his career as a corporate lawyer, and has almost two decades’ experience as a client advisor.

Oliver has 20 years’ experience in financial services, focusing on wealth management. Having started his career at PwC, he worked for UBS for 15 years in a variety of key roles across both in the front office and operations, most recently as UK head of high net worth clients.

Rothschild & Co said its investment in the UK wealth business has led to a doubling of AuM in the last five years.

Nedgroup Investments
Nedgroup Investments has appointed Denis Skeate to join its client team.

Skeate’s remit will be to deepen relationships with investors and enhance distribution across the UK and Switzerland, two markets where the firm says it has seen accelerating momentum. His hire underscores Nedgroup’s commitment to delivering high-quality solutions, attracting exceptional talent, and building long-term partnerships with investors, the firm said in a statement.

Previously, Skeate served as sales director within the UK client group of Ninety One, bringing more than 20 years of experience in asset management and a reputation for building enduring client partnerships.

“Denis joins a diverse team that’s been deliberately built around experience, integrity, and a shared commitment to long-term client success. His track record and insight make him a perfect fit for our next phase of expansion,” Apiramy Jeyarajah, chief commercial officer at Nedgroup Investments, said.

Skeate’s appointment follows a string of high-profile hires, including that of industry veteran Rob Burdett, who joined in 2024 to lead Nedgroup Investments’ international multi-manager business.

RBC BlueBay Asset Management
RBC BlueBay Asset Management has appointed Doris Santillana in the newly-created role of finance head in business development.

The hire is part the firm's plan to expand into Europe, it said in a statement yesterday.

Santillana, who will report to Viola Patock, head of continental Europe, will be based in the firm’s newly-opened Paris office located on Avenue Raymond Poincaré. Here, RBC BlueBay will join the RBC Capital Markets business which has been operating in the country for more than 25 years.

Santillana, who has more than 20 years of industry experience to the role, most recently served as head of wholesale at Allianz Global Investors where she led the firm’s wholesale team covering France and Monaco. Prior to this, she was country head and head of development for France at Legg Mason. Santillana is joined by Edoardo Bergamo Andreis, associate director, business development, who has relocated from London to Paris to support the firm’s growth efforts across France and Monaco.

RBC BlueBay manages more than €4 billion ($4.65 billion) for financial institutions and institutional investors within the region.
