Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – RBC BlueBay AM, Lincoln International

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, and other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

RBC BlueBay Asset Management
RBC BlueBay Asset Management has appointed Amin Obeidi as head of Alternatives Strategy Continental Europe. Based in Munich, he will report to RBC BlueBay’s head of Continental Europe, Viola Patock.

In this newly-created role, Obeidi will lead the strategic growth and positioning of RBC BlueBay’s Alternatives business across continental Europe, partnering with the regional business development teams. He brings close to two decades of experience in institutional and private wealth asset management, with expertise across the alternatives investment platform. Previously, Obeidi was with Quintet Private Bank where he was head of Alternatives Research & Strategy. Prior to this he was head of International Pension Assets and Illiquid Asset Classes at Daimler AG.

Lincoln International
Lincoln International, a global investment banking advisory firm, has appointed Eduard Egelie as a managing director in Lincoln’s Financial Services Group, based in London.

Egelie, who has more than three decades of experience advising financial institutions and expertise in the European insurance sector, will lead the firm’s European financial services advisory capabilities, In his new role, he is also responsible for MarshBerry’s European team.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Egelie served as head of financial institutions corporate finance at Societe Generale. Earlier in his career, he worked at RBS and Credit Suisse. Egelie holds a master of science in econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

“The financial services sector is undergoing a period of significant change, driven by regulatory initiatives, AI-enabled disruption and continued consolidation,” Friedrich Bieselt, managing director and co-head of Business Services, Europe, said. “Clients across the UK and Europe will benefit from Eduard’s leadership and strong track record of advising financial institutions.”

Egelie’s hire reflects Lincoln’s continued investment in and expansion of its financial services advisory practice, the firm said in a statement. It has recently added senior talent in the US and expanded its capabilities through the acquisition of MarshBerry, a global organisation serving the insurance brokerage and wealth and retirement sectors.
