Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – RBC BlueBay AM, JP Morgan Private Bank, Others

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.
RBC BlueBay Asset Management
RBC BlueBay Asset Management, which represents RBC Global Asset Management outside North America, has appointed Mike Bell in a newly-created role as head of market strategy, based in London.
The new role will complement RBC BlueBay's existing extensive client engagement, with Bell providing analysis of the global economy and market insights across all investment asset classes to clients and prospects, the firm said in a statement.
Before joining RBC BlueBay, Bell was global market strategist at JP Morgan Asset Management, where he also led an international team of investment specialists. In that role, he spent most of the last decade providing macroeconomic and market analysis to clients and the media. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the economics and asset allocation team at C Hoare and Co Private Bank.
"His [Bell’s] exceptional track record, proven communication skills, and extensive client and media experience make him the ideal person to enhance our client engagement capabilities," Erich Gerth, CEO of RBC BlueBay, said.
JP Morgan Private Bank
JP Morgan's private bank has appointed Paul Ferry, head of
financial institutions group, based in London, according to his
LinkedIn page. Separately, JP Morgan Private Bank confirned
Ferry's appointment when contacted by
WealthBriefing.
Ferry was previoiusly with another US lender, Citi Private
Bank, where he worked for 16 and-a-half years. Most recently,
he was head of financial sector. Prior to that, he was head of
equity sales at ICAP, the brokerage house and, before this
role, head of hedge funds sales at Merrill Lynch.
Kingsley Napley
Kingsley Napley has made two appointments for its growing international tax team: Kelly Greig as a partner and Abbie West-Kelsey as tax manager.
Greig was previously with Blick Rothenberg where she spent the last 18 months as a tax advisor helping HNW clients comply with international taxation rules. She is a dual-qualified chartered tax advisor and tax lawyer with nearly 20 years’ experience in tax advisory planning for HNWs, the firm said in a statement.
Greig, who has a particular specialism in UK/US tax rules, often acts as an expert witness on tax issues and lectures at the International University of Monaco on International Management of Family Wealth. She also sits on the advisory board to the International Tax Planning Association. Until last year Kelly was Worldwide Chair of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), and she remains on the STEP Board.
Greig’s arrival follows the appointment of Paul Davidoff in September whose remit is to develop Kingsley Napley’s international tax desk and add to the private client team’s expertise in international tax and estate planning for internationally mobile HNWs.
Abbie West-Kelsey, who previously worked with Greig at Blick Rothenberg, will support Greig and Davidoff. Abbie is a specialist tax accountant with a particular focus on succession planning for HNW clients, helping clients protect their wealth across generations and borders.
“Kelly is a legend in the world of international taxation and will bring significant knowledge, great connections and positive energy to our team,” James Ward, head of private client, said. “They will be working closely with Paul and other team members to support our international HNW and family office clients who seek our expert advice.”
