Hawksford
Jersey-based Hawksford, a global services provider, has appointed Dale Walton (pictured) as chief technology officer.

His remit will be to oversee Hawksford’s Operations Centre, with responsibility for the development and delivery of technology infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT solutions that support seamless integration across the firm’s growing global footprint. Based in the UK, Walton will work alongside director of change Samantha Akomeah, who joined Hawksford in 2024. They will both report to Matthew Wilkinson, chief integration officer, who has group management responsibility for Hawksford’s technology, integration and transformation agenda.

With over 30 years’ experience in information technology, Walton has previously served in various senior roles with a Dublin-based managed service provider. Most recently he was head of digital technology services, leading a large team of consultants, guiding clients through their digital transformation journeys and delivering strategic technology solutions. With extensive knowledge in operations and technical delivery, Walton has acted as the technical lead on many enterprise migration projects across multiple industries.

“I’m delighted to welcome Dale, who brings with him a rare combination of deep technical expertise, operational leadership and proven success in delivering digital transformation programmes,” Wilkinson said.

Quilter Cheviot
UK-headquartered Quilter Cheviot, a discretionary fund management and financial planning business, has appointed John Moore as an investment manager based in its Edinburgh office. He will report to Richard Taylor, head of the Edinburgh office

Moore’s career spans more than three decades in discretionary investment management. Most recently, he served as divisional director at RBC Brewin Dolphin, where he worked with independent financial advisors and high net worth clients. Over the course of his career, Moore has gained experience in investment and wealth management, as well as portfolio construction. He is a well-respected commentator on investment themes in the media and will help communicate Quilter Cheviot’s capabilities to a wide audience, the firm said in a statement.

“Bringing someone of John’s calibre and reputation is a real coup for us and we are excited to see what he can achieve here,” Taylor said. “He brings exceptional depth of investment experience and a strong understanding of the needs of advisers and high net worth clients, built over an extensive career in our industry. As we continue to grow our presence in Scotland and support clients with high-quality, long-term investment solutions, John is really well placed to add a huge amount to the team.”
