The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

Alex Funk (pictured), the UK CIO of PortfolioMetrix, has been appointed CEO, with founder Brandon Zietsman transitioning into the role of executive chair. The changes will take effect from 1 January 2026.

Funk will retain his investment responsibilities alongside the role of CEO. The investment team will remain “well-anchored” by Phil Bradford (chief investment officer) and Brendan de Jongh (head of global investment strategy), ensuring that Funk can retain strategic oversight of the investment process and portfolios managed on behalf of advisor partners, the firm said in a statement.

Funk has made other changes to the global executive team, naming Sharné Sanders as chief commercial officer, Oscar Reitsma as chief operating officer and Natalie Horton as chief financial Officer.

Zietsman will continue to work with Funk in his new position as executive chair. In this role, he will be freed up from his management responsibilities to concentrate on group strategic initiatives, key partner relationships, and the evolution of the business.

Funk highlighted PMX’s Partner Group as a cornerstone of the company’s proposition: “With Ben Peele running the UK Partner Group, we have a key leader with institutional knowledge to focus on our advisor partners and prospects, carrying the PMX ethos into the future.”

Crestbridge Family Office Services has appointed Ashley Hickman as client director, to boost its service to support of its growth ambitions.

Jersey-based Hickman will take a lead on client service delivery, managing the firm’s ultra-high net worth clients across the UK, Ireland, the Middle East and Africa. He will also oversee the management of a range of trust and corporate structures holding a wide range of assets.    

With more than 25 years’ experience in the finance industry, Hickman has previously worked for more than two decades at a major global bank. In a number of senior level roles, he has built expertise in the private client sector, providing specialist support in managing various asset classes including discretionary and advisory managed portfolios, private equity investments, gold and commercial property.
