Mourant, an
international professional services firm with law at its core,
has appointed Tom Grogan as chief transformation officer.
Grogan (main picture) is joining Mourant from Mishcon de Reya, where he played a pivotal role in business transformation, digital strategy and innovation as head of emerging technology, alongside leading its consultancy arm as divisional chief executive officer. With expertise in operational strategy, process optimisation and AI-driven innovation, Grogan has led transformation initiatives across legal, financial and retail sectors.
In his new role, Grogan will work closely with Mourant’s leadership team to accelerate the business’s digital innovation, enhance operational effectiveness, and drive strategic change.
Grogan has worked extensively on leveraging technology to advance environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, helping businesses integrate sustainability into their operational strategies.
"His expertise in transformation and digital innovation, as well as his passion for sustainability and ESG-driven solutions, will be instrumental as we continue to evolve our firm and position ourselves for long-term success," Jonathan Rigby, CEO at Mourant, said of Grogan.
This latest appointment follows a series of high-profile hires at Mourant, including former Kirkland & Ellis partner Brad Hillson, who joined as global head of private capital in May 2025.
CISI
Educational charity and professional body CISI (Chartered Institute for
Securities & Investment) has appointed Assad Malik, Chartered
FCSI as president of CISI’s Swiss National Advisory Council
(NAC).
Malik (pictured below) is a seasoned management consultant in fintech advisory, currently engaged at UBS. He has more than 20 years of experience in the wealth management and investments advisory sector working as a senior advisor on strategic initiatives for global investment banks and leading wealth management firms. Next year will mark his 20th year as a CISI member.

The CISI Swiss NAC members include Christina Maria Tsakali, chartered FCSI, wealth management, head of family office, Tandem Capital AG; Doug Heron chartered MCSI, CEO, CERN Pension Fund; and Terry Hall, chartered FCSI, head of compliance, Ebury Switzerland.
The CISI has been present in Switzerland for almost 15 years. Other partnerships which CISI has in Switzerland include The Swiss Association for Quality (SAQ), which recognises 25 of CISI’s e-learning Professional Refresher modules as official recertification measures for the Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA) programme. CISI Swiss educational partnerships include the International Management School Geneva (IMSG), which incorporates CISI’s International Introduction to Securities and Investment into its curriculum. In addition, SIX Swiss Exchange recognises CISI qualifications for individuals or firms seeking to trade on the exchange.
