UK-based Morgan
Lloyd, a specialist in self-invested pensions and part
of the Clifton
Group, has just appointed Julie Hansen (pictured) as its new
managing director.
Hansen has over 20 years of experience working in financial services including pensions administration, financial planning and insurance. She is currently chair of Health Shield Friendly Society, although she will be completing her term in that role later this year, the firm said in a statement.
Previously, Hansen was managing director for PX Pension Exchange and PX Wealth, as well as holding a number of directors’ positions with other firms. At Morgan Lloyd, she will be responsible for delivery of the firm’s strategy and day-to-day operational efficiency.
The in-house technical team at Morgan Lloyd, which has experience in running small self-administered schemes (SSASs) and self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs) for financial advice firms and industry-third party investment platforms, administers over £1.5 billion ($2 billion) of assets for 7,500 clients.
“The SIPP market can be complex but along with our highly experienced team of technical pension experts, we know that Julie can maintain everything our customers value about Morgan Lloyd while developing the business further for the benefit of our clients too,” Neil Greenaway, chief executive officer of the Clifton Group, said.
Morgan Lloyd, which has £2.5 billion assets under management (AuM), looks after pensions and investments on behalf of over 12,000 clients.
