Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – M&G, St James’s Place

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

M&G
Investments has appointed Ross Sterling (pictured) as deputy
portfolio manager for its M&G Japan equities strategy,
reporting to Carl Vine, co-head of M&G's Asia Pacific Equity
team. His remit will cover contributing to stock selection,
portfolio construction and research into Japanese companies of
all sizes, in an asset class where M&G’s heritage stretches
back to 1971.
Sterling brings 15 years of investment experience, including nine years specialising in Japanese equities. Prior to joining M&G, he was deputy fund manager and senior analyst at TT International, where he expanded his coverage to global equities while maintaining responsibility for Japanese stocks. Earlier in his career, he was an analyst and portfolio manager at Universities Superannuation Scheme, where he contributed to the management of a £2.5 billion ($3.37 billion) Japanese equities portfolio.

James’s Place, a UK-based wealth manager, has announced that
four experienced financial Appointed Representatives (ARs) have
brought their partner practices to SJP.
Larry Yesufu, Matthew Kemp, Mitchell Hough and Richard Woods have joined SJP as advisors from organisations including Quilter, Skipton Building Society, NFU Mutual and Nationwide Building Society. They are joining a network of about 2,700 partner practices and nearly 5,000 advisors, adding inancial services and wealth management experience to the partnership.
Yesufu of Heightgate Financial Associates has joined from Quilter, where he served as a financial planner. Specialising in retirement planning, estate planning and tax planning, he is based in North London.
Based in Dorset, Kemp of Ferndale Financial Planning has joined from Skipton Building Society where he spent over a decade as a financial planning manager. He brings more than 30 years of experience having worked in financial planning and advisory roles for businesses including Santander and Openwork.
Hough of Gloucestershire-based Combine Financial Planning, brings more than 20 years of experience to SJP. He started his career in banking at NatWest before moving into financial advice at Santander. Most recently at NFU Mutual, he works with individuals, families and business owners, in particular within the agricultural community, across the South West and Midlands.
Woods, of Richard Woods Financial Planning, based in Suffolk, has joined after a long career at some of the UK’s largest financial institutions, including Nationwide Building Society and Halifax. He left the Royal Air Force to spend more than three decades building his career as a financial advisor.
